Mercenary Upgrade

Level-up
You can increase your Mercenaries' Levels by winning Campaign battles, or by consuming other Mercenaries. When there are Max Level Mercenaries in the party when winning in Campaign battles, the parts of the EXP they would have received will be shared among the others.
Rank-up
Max-leveled Mercenaries can have their rank increased. Rank-up requires other Mercenaries at the same rank as the target Mercenary. The number of required materials is equal to the number of Stars they have. When they do, their Star rank increases by 1 and their Level is reset to 1. Mercenaries can only reach up to 6 Stars.
Awakened
Awakening Mercenaries improve their stats, adds new skills, and change their looks for the better. Mercenaries can be Awakened at a different rank, depending on their Original rank. Original Rank 3 can be Awakened at 4 Stars, Original Rank 4 at 5 Stars, and Original Rank 5 at 6 Stars. Awakening materials can be obtained from the Crystal Cave.
Skill-up
Skills can be upgraded at the cost of Mercenaries of the same kind or using the Skill Book of the same rank as their Original Rank. Upgrading skills strengthen the Mercenaries that use them.
Fusion
Mercenary Fusion fuses Mercenaries into a new one. Only max-leveled Mercenaries can be used as materials, and they disappear when used. You can check the available Mercenary Fusion formulas in the Merc > Combine Merc menu.
Piece Fusion
Mercenary Pieces can be fused into a specified Mercenary when gathered in enough numbers. The resulting Mercenary matches the icon displayed on the pieces, and necessary number of pieces varies depending on the rank. Collect a set number of Mercenary Pieces, and you can fuse them into a whole Mercenary. For more information, check the Merc > Piece Fusion menu.
Combine
Two +9 Mercenaries with the same original rank can be combined into a random Mercenary at a higher rank. This only applies to those Mercenaries with original rank of 3 or 4.
Dismantle
You can only dismantle Natural ★5 and Legend Mercenaries. Some Ancient Coins can be obtained.
Rank Boost
Rank Boost increases Max Level of Mercenaries. Boosters are required to perform Rank Boost. Boosters can be found in Honor Shop and etc. Boosters suitable to the rank of target Mercenary are required. Rank Boost can be applied up to 6 times for a single Mercenary. After Rank Boost, the current Level remains unchanged while the Max Level gets increased.

Can be purchased from the Honor Shop. Material used in Rank Boost.
